Southern Magnolias are widely used in southern states and are instantly recognizable with their large, thick glossy green leaves and shory fragrant flowers. Edith Bogue Southern Magnolia is possibly the most cold hardy of them all, with its large glossy evergreen leaves and equally large and showy, fragrant white flowers that bloom through the summer in increasing numbers as it matures. Loose and open in appearance when young becoming more denst with maturity. Best planted in full sun and located with protection from winter's harsh extremes.
