Description
Prized for its colorful foliage, ‘The Rising Sun’ Redbud blooms with a profusion of pea-like pink flowers on bare branches for several weeks in spring before the foliage emerges. The heart-shaped leaves emerge bright orange-peach and ages through shade of orange, gold and yellow to speckled lime green. Because new leaves emerge all summer, the tree always has a glow of colors. The leaves will turn shades of yellow and orange in fall. This dwarf redbud will work well in any landscape in full to part sun with well-draining soil.
