Description
Standing 3-4 foot tall when blooming, ‘King Kong’ features leaves that span over 16 inches wide. When planted in part shade, the deep burgundy foliage is most prominent. The new leaves start off a glossy burgundy black and as they again take on a semi-gloss appearance. Midsummer a deep yellow orange daisy looking flower appears. Ligularia can be slow grows, so don’t be surprised if it take a couple years to get to its full height. ‘King Kong’ is a deer resistant perennial that attracts butterflies.Â
