Calathea makoyana Peacock

Description

The Calathea makoyana or Peacock Plant as it is more commonly known is a wonderful plant that can be known to grow up to 2ft in height when cared for correctly. Also named Cathedral Windows.

There are many varieties of Calathea, with foliage ganging from rounded to long and narrow, but one thing is for sure, they all have some sort of fancy markings usually in shades of green, silver, pink or purple. Calathea grows best in medium to low light and should be shielded from direct sunlight to prevent any leaf burn. Keep the soil moist but not overly wet or soggy.
