Description

This is a unique selection of Foxglove, bearing tall spikes of soft lavender-mauve bells, each spotted inside with maroon purple. Buds begin a creamy-yellow color. Unlike other types, ‘Camelot’ Foxgloves flower in both the first and second year before eventually setting seed and dying. Deadhead first-year blooms to encourage overwintering. Allow plants to form seed in the second year and they may self-sow to produce future generations. Note: Digitalis is one of the most famous toxic plants. While small doses of the plant are actually used to good effect in heart medicine, high doses can cause cardiac arrhythmia and even death. So be sure to keep children and pets away from your Digitalis and any water that the flowers have been in.
