Description
Chlorophytum ‘Mandarin Orange’, also known as ‘Fire Flash’ goes by the common name of Mandarin Plant because of its vivid, bright orange leaf stems (petioles) that make the plant appear to be glowing from within. Only growing about a foot tall and wide, Mandarin Plant looks great on a tabletop or wide window ledge where the brilliant stems can best be viewed. Mandarin Plant is actually a relative of the good old Spider Plant houseplant, and is also very tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions. It tolerates low light, and does well in medium or bright (indirect) light. Water when the top inch or so of soil is dry to the touch.
