Description
Ponytail Palms are, in fact, not palms at all. They are large succulents that house water in the bulbous base of their trunks, from which long, curled foliage grows in the style of a ponytail. It is very easy to care for and thrives on neglect. As long as it has sunlight and is not watered too frequently, it will remain happy. Water only when the soil is dry to the touch. Bright, direct light is best indoors. It is very forgiving if it is in less light, though it may grow more slowly with a decrease in the number of new leaves it sprouts.
