Spring is Coming!

The flowers of late winter and early spring occupy places in our hearts well out of proportion to their size.

Ok, so these last few days have been a little dark and dreary, but haven’t we had a wonderful winter? Not much snow, not very cold and a lot of sunshine. With that being said, we are still missing the presence of flowers and plants that give our lives color.

Don’t give up though, spring is just around the corner, regardless of what the groundhog says.

It’s the time of year to start getting some ideas for the spring planting season. Pantone Inc., the world renowned authority on color has named Dazzling Blue as the color of the year. Dazzling Blue, coupled with oranges, yellows, reds, among a variety of other colors can make some fantastic looking combination pots or plantings in your yard. The possibilities are endless with different plants and color choices.

Be sure to check out the many different gardening magazines available to help whet your appetite with the newest plants and colors available. Right now, we have some very nice primrose, cyclamen and shamrocks ready to go. Pansies and viola, cool weather loving, early spring annuals and combination pots are good to go this month.

Hope you are getting excited for spring, I know I am! Have a great day and talk to you soon.
