Description
‘Arp’ is regarded as the hardiest Rosemary cultivar, supposedly to -10 degrees F. Originally found in Arp, Texas. It has thick, resinous, gray-green leaves, a faint lemony scent and an open growth habit. This evergreen shrub is dense, bushy, upright and aromatic. Arp leaves are dark green and leathery, up to 2 inches in length and they sport small, edible blue flowers in whorls, up to 1/2 in long. Rosemary is an excellent choice for making topiaries, and widely used in cooking, especially Italian cuisine.
