The First Cup of Coffee…

I think it truly is the “most wonderful time of the year”, but for me, it is also the most “reflective time of the year.” I always think it is a little sad when Christmas is gone, but with New Years right around the corner, there is a sense of anticipation and renewal with the coming year. It is a chance to start some new things and to renew commitments to already ongoing endeavors. It really is a refreshing time.

With that being said, as I get older, small things become more and more important. That first warm cup of coffee in the morning, time spent talking and sharing with friends, watching a fresh snow fall, enjoying the many different colors of plants that we have available to us. I could go on and on, but for each of us they are different. One of my resolutions for 2012 is to enjoy the little things more and to “take some time to smell the roses”. I’m sure this will make me a more joyful and thankful person. You may already be doing it, but if you’re not, come on and join me…we will make it our mission together!

Have a great day, enjoy New Year’s and we will talk soon.
