Hardy Hibiscus ‘Midnight Marvel’
Description
The darkest Rose Mallow yet, Midnight Marvel is a standout in any setting! The handsome, maple-shaped leaves on this fast-growing variety reach nearly a foot long and are very abundant with their deep purple coloration. By midsummer, the stems are loaded with buds which open to beautifully veined, carmine-red blooms 9-10 inches in diameter. The flowers will continue until the first hard frost. When the weather turns cool, the foliage will turn brilliant shades of orange, remaining on the plant for many weeks before dropping, often with the red blooms combing boldly with the orange leaves. Best when planted in full sun.
