It features big, bold leaves of emerald green splashed with random splotches of bright chartreuse and occasionally white, akin to the spots of a cheetah. Given medium to bright light, consistent moisture, and temperatures above 60 degrees F, ‘Ocelot’ will grow up to be the big cat of your collection! The common name for this plant is “dumb cane” because consumption of its sap may cause throat swelling & speechlessness, thus rendering one “dumb.”
