The Jade Plant, with their thick, woody stems and oval-shaped leaves is in the succulent family. Therefore, loves it slightly dry. In the home, drench soil thoroughly and allow it to become dry before watering again. During the summer, jade plants should be watered often so the soil is moist but not wet. Making sure drainage is complete. Reduce watering to monthly in the winter. Fairly resilient and easy to grow indoors, Jade plants have a miniature, tree-like appearance that makes them very appealing for use as a decorative houseplant.
Jades prefer bright light to full sun and do best with four or more hours of sunlight each day. They are happy in a room with south-facing windows. Also, cooler temperatures in the winter will keep the mealybugs away! For better branching and compact growth, pinch the tips.
