Monstera ‘Thai Constellation’

SKU: N/A Categories: , ,

Extremely rare and hard to come by, Monstera ‘Thai Constellation’ is similar to it’s parent plant, Monstera deliciosa, but what truly sets this plant apart is the splatters and splotches of creamy or off-white against their green leaves, almost resembling the night sky with stars. This unique color pattern has never been seen before on a Monstera and makes this plant highly sought after. When young, the leaves are small and resemble that of a pothos or philidendron, but as the plant grows and matures (more slowly than the standard green variety), it will develop its distinctive fenestration. One thing to note about Monstera plants is that the variegated areas do not contain any chlorophyll, meaning they have to rely on the green areas to get the required energy from the sun. The ideal situation will be to put this plant near a huge sunny window with blinds or curtains to shade the plant from direct sunlight. If this plant receives too much sunlight, its leaves will start withering and eventually burn and fall off. Water only when the soil feels dry to the touch 1-2 inches down, and be sure to not allow the plant to sit in water so that the soil does not become soggy, as root rot can occur.

Currently available in a 4″ or 6″ pot.
