Philodendron, Silver Sword

Description

The Silver Sword Philodendron features blue-tinged or silvery-green, glossy, elongated leaves that almost appear to have a metallic look to them. It is a strong, upward grower so having a support of some kind such as a trellis or pole to allow the plant to reach its full potential and to look its best. Keeping it in a hanging basket can also work, letting it vine more freely. Silver Sword prefers bright light, but can adapt well to lower light conditions. However, the silvery leaves so not fare well if exposed to direct sunlight. Water thoroughly when the top inch or so of the soil has dried out, and be sure to allow any excess water to drain completely.
