String of Dolphins

Description

String of Dolphins (Senecio peregrinus) is a hybrid of ‘String of pearls’ (Senecio rowleyanus) and ‘Candle plant’ (Senecio articulates). Thanks to its lovely appearance, String of Dolphins quickly became a very trendy houseplant over the past few years. String of Dolphins is an incredible succulent with unique-looking curvy blue-green leaves shaped like a pod of jumping dolphins. This succulent blooms in late spring with cinnamon-scented little white-pinkish flowers hanging in clusters. It needs at least 6 hours of bright, indirect light each day to thrive, but avoid direct sunlight so the leaves don’t burn. Water every 2-3 weeks during spring to early fall and less frequently during the winter months when your plant goes dormant.
