Description
Part of the Honeymoon series of Hellebores, ‘New York Night’ has flowers in shades of deep purple-black, jet black and purple grey all punctuated with frilly, creamy glowing stamens. Blooms very early in Spring or even late winter, often with snow still on the ground. Site these where they will stay for many years, since the plants resent being disturbed. Trim the old leaves to the ground in late winter to give the flowers maximum impact. Caution, harmful if eaten and can be a skin irritant.
