Ficus ‘Burgundy’

Description

Commonly known as a Rubber Plant or Rubber Tree, Ficus elastica ‘Burgundy’ features very dark green, nearly black leaves with red mid-veins. Each leaf can mature up to 12″ long and 4″ wide, and emerges red before maturing. As a houseplant, it can reach up to 10 feet in height and spread, but can easily be pruned to maintain a smaller size. Bright, indirect light is preferred, but keep out of direct sunlight so that the leaves don’t scorch. Water when the surface of the soil is dry, but be sure to not overwater.
