Hosta ‘Empress Wu’
Description
Possibly the largest Hosta ever, this is the one that everyone is talking about! Said to tower 4.5 feet tall and 6 (or more) feet wide, Empress Wu has huge leaves (about 1.5 feet long) that are thick and dark green with deeply impressed veins, forming a strong upright mound habit. It has showy, pale reddish-violet flowers in mid-summer. You can use this as a species hosta, conversation piece, border or background for other plants. Best situated in partial sun.
