Iris, Japanese ‘Lion King’
Description
Japanese Iris have been treasured in Japan for centuries, with many excellent hybrids selected over time. They produce the largest flowers of all Irises, require neutral to acidic soil and lots of moisture until blooming time is over. Plants will be happy at the waterside, and can even be grown in pots sitting in water. This outstanding selection forms a vigorous clump of grassy-green leaves, bearing gigantic, fully-double flowers with each petal displaying a wide, purple edge that feathers into a white center; a small yellow signal at the base.
