Description
Noted for its showy coral bark and fall color, the Coral Bark Maple is a highly desirable small tree for the landscape. The 5-lobed leaves emerge emerge pinkish-yellow and mature to light green in summer before turning yellow in fall. When they fall, the leaves expose the bright coral-red bark on young twigs and branches, which really stands out in the winter landscape. A slow-growing, upright, vase-shaped tree. Best grown in full or partial sun and moist, organically-rich, well-drained soil.
