Kalmia latifolia ‘Minuet’ is a wonderful dwarf selection of the eastern U.S. mountain laurel. This evergreen will flower in mid June with colorful clusters of pale pink buds that open to expose a broad ring of maroon red in the interior. One of the best features is the compact shape and size in the landscape, seldom reaching over 3 feet in height even as an old plant. Useful as a landscape accent, informal hedge or border and is good in containers.
