Description
A native broadleaf evergreen shrub, Mountain Laurel makes a great selection for understory planting or those moist, shady locations. Its leaves are narrow and elongated, slightly wavy and radiating around the branches. ‘Olympic Fire’ has clusters of dark pink buds that open to white flowers, maturing to pink, in spring. It prefers shady locations. A nice substitute for Rhododendrons or Pieris.
