Spring foliage emerges a sunny orange color and matures to sparkling burgundy. Clusters of white flowers cover the plant in late spring, and these age to attractive red seed heads. This disease-resistant shrub does best in full sun locations and cooler climates.

Prefers average to moist, well-drained loose soil, but is highly adaptable to any soil. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep root system.
