Peperomia ‘Schumi Red’

Out of stock

Peperomia ‘Schumi Red’ has a distinct look that stands apart from other indoor plants. Each leaf has a rippled, almost corrugated texture, and bears a rich reddish-purple color that’s often deeper on the leaf underside. In bright light, the leaves may have a sparkly or metallic appearance. Schumi Red grows in a mounding habit, like other Peperomia caperata. Schumi Red holds up well in low to average light levels, but truly thrives in medium to bright (but indirect) light. It does equally well under natural light as artificial light. Water when the top couple of inches of the potting mix start to feel dry to the touch. Avoid overwatering, which can cause the roots to rot away. It’s better to keep this small houseplant too dry than too wet.
