Description

The Kousa Dogwood will give you lots to look at in your yard! The 3-5inch “flowers” are petal-like white bracts which surround the center cluster of insignificant, yellowish-green, true flowers. In late August to October, the flowers will yield attractive pinkish-red to red drupes, which resemble raspberries in both size and form. Fruits are technically edible, but are usually left for the birds. The mature leaf color is dark green, and changes to shades of reddish-purple to scarlet in autumn.
