Description

Hoya, also known as porcelainflower, or wax plant, as attractive waxy leaves and rounded clusters of sweetly scented flowers. H. australis has light to medium green leaves that are broad and oval-shaped or elliptical. New growth has a lovely reddish hue. With vines that can reach eight feet long or more, H. australis has fragrant white bunches of flowers with reddish centers that bloom in fall and winter. It will tolerate a variety of light conditions, but will bloom best in bright light. Water only when the soil is dry, be sure not to overwater. It would rather be too dry than too wet.
